About company

Metest operations started in 2006 with our first service of steel plate cutting. Our knowledge and variety of services have constantly been  expanding and today we are operating in our own modern production facility with more than 5 900m2 of production area that is located in Karksi-Nuia, Viljandi county.  We have invested in modern technology and qualified personnel from the beginning of our operations. Our customers include mainly B2B partners in metal industries, construction companies, shipbuilding companies, product development and marketing companies, energy and agricultural companies. Our customers are located in Estonia, Latvia, Sweden and Finland.

Welded steel beams

As subcontractors we offer our customers welded beams for building industry. Our process has been constructed in a way that enables in-line production of beams and profiles. We use our new welding portal with 4 welding heads for main welds and finish the welds by manual welding to give the process flexibility. Our in-line production process is suitable for producing beams up to 24m in length. We have also invested in plate joining technology to be able to reach bigger dimensions of our products. Among other welded beams we produce: WQ, HSQ, H, I and SBS beams. To ensure sustainability of our product, we have equipped our production line with shot-blasting. Wet paint is been applied after surface treatment to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements.

NSC-Profiles

As subcontractors we offer our customers NSC-Profiles for building industry. Our process has been constructed in a way that enables in-line production of profiles. We use our 6000mm wide bending press to minimize welded joints and to optimize cost of NSC-profiles. To ensure sustainability of our product, we have equipped our production line with shot-blasting. Wet paint is been applied after surface treatment to ensure fulfillment of customer requirements.

Steel plate cutting

As subcontractors we offer our customers steel plate components by a wide range of possibilities of steel pate cutting. We use new CNC machines with laser, plasma and flame (gas cuttig) cutting technology. This makes it possible to cut steel plates from 0,5mm to 150mm in thickness. The working range of plasma and flame cutting machines is 18000×3000mm and 6000x2500 of laser cutting machine. Both plasma and flame cutting machines have bevel cutting heads. It is possible to make V, K, Y bevels. The max thickness of the bevel cutting under 45 degree is 80mm. Cutting quality classification EVS-EN ISO 9013:2003.

Steel plate bending

We have invested in a new Durma bending machine AD-S 60800, that has Cybelec 3D CNC control system. The max length of the bend is 6000mm and it has 800 tons pressing force. The max pressing power per a meter is 200 tons. Besides ordinary steels S235 and S355, it’s possible to bend high-strength steels like Hardox 400, Hardox 450, Weldox 700, Raex 400AR, Optim 650MC, Domex 650 etc.The bending quality classification DIN 6935. At the moment we have following tools: Dies: V16; V22; V25; V35; V50; V63; V80; V100; V125; V160; V250 Punches: R3; R6; R10; R15; R20; R25; R30; R40; R50
